Mississippi Gaming Establishment bond If you are engaged in the operation of a gaming establishment in Mississippi, you are required under section 75-76-1 et. seq. of the Mississippi Code to file a Mississippi Gaming Establishment Bond as a condition of licensure. A surety bond protects the party requesting the bond, the Obligee, against any financial losses due to poor financial decisions, damages, unethical decisions, or a failure to follow state and local laws on the part of you, the Principal. The Mississippi Gaming Establishment Bond holds you accountable for your business decisions. A gaming establishment shall be defined as any place where gambling or playing cards is conducted.
The act defines a gaming establishment as “any building, structure, facility, equipment, appurtenances, land, watercraft, vehicle, vessel, aircraft, or other property owned or leased by an Indian tribe or operated by an Indian contractor or subcontractor under contract with an Indian tribe, or any portion thereof, whether such property is located within or outside of the boundaries of the reservation of the Indian tribe.”

A person who owns or operates an establishment where gaming is conducted may apply for a license from the Commission to conduct such gaming activities. An applicant must submit a completed application form with the required fee to the Commission. The application shall contain the following information:
1. Name of applicant;
2. Address of applicant;
3. Type of business being operated;
4. Location of the proposed facility;
5. Description of the proposed facility; and
6. Any other information requested by the Commission.
An applicant must submit an application with the required information and fees. The Commission will review the application and decide whether the applicant has met the requirements outlined in Section 27-33-15(a). If the Commission determines that the applicant meets the requirements, then the Commission will issue a license to the applicant.
